Newcastle Real Estate

Newcastle, suburban living with over 40 acres of land dedicated to beautiful parks. Settled next to Bellevue, Renton, and across Lake Washington from Seattle, Newcastle rests on rolling hills providing many homes with mountain views. Aside from the many parks, Newcastle provides its community with nature trails that connect the housing developments to the parks. Trails connect all the way to Cougar Mountain Regional Wild Park in Unincorporated King County, and will soon connect to West Lake Sammamish. This beautiful city is complete with the Newcastle Golf Club, Lake Boren Park, and a brand new YMCA.

Originally a coal mining town, Newcastle was named after Newcastle upon Tyne in England. Playing a major role in the development of Seattle, Newcastle was one of the regions earliest coal mining areas around. In the time between the 1870s (founding date) and 1963 when the mines closed, more than 13 million tons of coal was collected. Today Newcastle is no longer a mining town, but the hard working people have never left. In a town where most people work, and a strong volunteer community, Newcastle was voted into the top 20 best places to live in the US.
